My family have given me lots of encouragement and help over the years, the idea to start my own business was due to my parents, Nikki & Kevin encouraging me and my sister and brother to never rely on being employed by someone else, always have a back up plan, something you can do for yourself. They had 7 redundanceis within 4 years, three of them on Chrsitmas Eve.
We all moved to Wales in 2002, to a little smallholding, my parents set up their company Toloja Orchards (named after our three names) making award winning Welsh cider, apple juice, cider brandy and preserves.
Now not only I have set up my Spice Thyme company, my sister, Lottie, this year started her company at only 11 years old called 'Sweet Deer'. She has bought two reindeer to hire out at events and plans to start a mini mobile farm next year.
We are both dyslexic, but this is not going to hold us back. Our little brother James is not dyslexic, but is not one to be left out, he is launching his own soft drinks brand called 'Jimbo's Jungle Juice'..... oh, and he is only 9!!
